This tutorial shows you how to make a working elevator In Minecraft 1.16.

To create the elevator, all you need is a 1×1 shaft, down (or up) to the place where you want to go.

Step 1: Construct the Elevator Shaft · Step 2: Add Water to the Shaft · Step 3: Convert Flowing Water into Water.

While inside the hole, face one of the sides that is 3 blocks wide and replace the block in the middle of the second row with an obsidian block.^[9]
