I can appreciate some of the concerns about discord at a broad level, I agree that in the long view it's probably a liability to the net.

On the other hand, like many other projects, I eventually adopted it to help support the project, and it's allowed other members of the community to more easily help support the project, including writing the above-mentioned FAQ.

It's okay if you don't want to utilize the discord out of principle, but there's also nothing wrong with another community member mentioning that resource.

To the extent that it continues to be maintained, I'm not in a rush to pull it back directly into the mod.

Currently it's behind with no version for 1.9.3+, but I only recently got the main mod up to those versions. There are versions for 1.16 though, as you tagged in your title.
