    With this year’s Minecraft Live event, Mojang Studios has officially scrapped the yearly game update cycle.

    New game updates will now arrive as smaller game drops, and we have information about two of the upcoming Minecraft game drops instead of a massive Minecraft 1.22 update. The first drop is called Minecraft Bundles of Bravery, while the second one doesn’t yet have a name.

    Between drinking hot cocoa and mining for diamonds, our developers have been hard at work preparing the first game drop of 2025.

    Minecraft 1.22 Release Date

    As you’re now aware, Mojang has confirmed that Minecraft updates will take a different route and will be released more frequently; in smaller batches.

    Because of this change, we are not getting the Minecraft 1.22 update this time around.

    Instead, we are getting the Minecraft Bundles of Bravery game drop that will arrive very soon. The developers at Mojang did not share an exact release date for this drop during Minecraft Live 2024.
